I AM FROM
I am
from a flower basket hanging from the porch
From an
old golden dog and a red green patched bunny
I am
from a purple colored house
And a
wooden bench hanging from my porch
I am
from a pink, red, and orange rose garden
Whose
nails stretch out to grab you
I am
from a train that could and a wool flowery baby blanket
From
Dee Schumacher and Ray Schumacher
And
from my dad pulling my sister and me on a blanket around the house and kayaking
down at the river
And
from me and my neighbor playing kitchen
I am
from trips to many places
From apples
and pork and vegetarian salads
From a
caring mom who stayed home with her children
And from
a dad getting property and building apartments and houses
Hiding
in the small white cupboards
I am
from the moments when the flower basket is hanging from the porch.
