I Am From…by Rowan


I am from a big red couch; from Legos and Lincoln logs.
I am from a log house by the riverside, and the cats napping on the kitchen rug.
I am from a big green lawn and a garden outside, whose flowers bloom with such
vibrant colors
I am from my bunk bed, and the smell of coffee in the morning
from my mom and dad and from skiing down the mountainside,
from camping trips and rafting trips
I am from the waves of Hawaii,
from sushi and lasagna
from my grandfather’s farm and from our lake in up state new York.
And gathering around the Christmas tree and unwrapping presents in glee
I am from the moments of fun
